A few years ago, we were having a JACK meeting, when Carlos Carrasco whipped out a camera and announced that we were shooting an Eddie Izzard scene “right now.”  So Kent Minault and I memorized a few lines from one of Izzard’s brilliant monologues and put them on tape.  This bit  satirizes British acting and will be familiar to Izzard fans.

We had fun a lot of fun shooting our homage, A Room With a Pond With a Staircase and a View. We also learned what a good writer Izzard is.  A few words of silliness yielding comedic tension in the way Picasso or Matisse could turn a few pencil lines into a cat or an odalisque.
